Stop Your Worrying

I would like to share with you my feeling on life lately. Lately it seems like I’ve been caught in this routine of being short of happiness. One day I feel great, the next I feel like a sinking ship trying to sail through life – powerless. Like a sail boat with a broken mainsail, no matter how much strength I muster-up, once I get going, problems and issues arise  These “critical” life issues (at least they seem critical at the time) would try to keep me from soaring and prospering and from being my personal best.

Worries about my family, relationships, living situation, job, or if have been as faithful to God as I should, would settle in my heart and literally take the breath and joy of life from me. It’s even draining to write this – plainly stated, “worrying” will steal your life. Worrying will take the life force out of you because it is a NEGATIVE energy that the enemy feeds on to try and  keep you in bondage and stop you from living a life of love and joy.  That is the kind of life God intends for you to live — a life that gives glory to the Holy Trinity – the father, the son and the holy spirit. A life full of reward and fulfillment. A life that allows us to get up in the morning and take on any challenge that comes our way with strength, poise and vigor in our spirits. A life that has on thanking and praising God in spirit and in the truth for each day of  life. God wants us to live a life care-free because he loves us, the word of God says “cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.” 1 Peter 5:7

God, our creator, does not want us to worry. So please be reminded (as I remind myself) to cast all your fears to God through prayer. The bible speaks directly on many occasions about worry. If you feel plagued by worry and feelings of defeat in your current situation, remember God’s word on WORRY which is perfectly displayed in his living word via Matthew 6:25-34, which reads:

Do Not Worry

“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?
“And why do you worry about clothes? See how the lilies of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
