Father God, I come to you Lord because I am angry. I am pissed. I am LIVID and upset that Eric Garner, Michael Brown and Trayvon Martin’s killers have not been held accountable for these deaths. I don’t understand or see the way to fight this injustice. How do we stand up in a way that is effective yet pleasing to you? And Lord, WHY do so many people who are not Black find it so hard to relate to the feelings and REALITY that Black Americans are dealing with in regards to how the legal system in this country unfairly treats black lives?
Lord I know that no life is greater than the next. You see us all as your children. Lord help the people of the world see eachother the way you see us. What would you have us to do, Dear Lord to bring this country together? Because Lord, it is true that injustice ANYWHERE is a threat to justice EVERYWHERE. I know that vengeance is yours and I stand on that WORD. But Lord help us to come together. Help us to rebuild this “justice” system once and for all so that crimes against all people are treated fairly across the board. Police officers should not be above the law but an example of living lawfully. Lord I ask for your Holy Spirit to move freely and swiftly through this country to clean up this corruption and bring the people of this country together on one accord: to stand up for their fellow brother or sister in the name of FAIRNESS and JUSTICE.
Thank you Lord for being the true deliverer of justice and change. In the in-between time while you are working, Lord help us to be strong, disciplined, strategic and focused so that we can not only overcome but do so without sin.
Lord I thank you for covering and protecting the mothers and fathers of these young men as they carry the burden and pain of losing a child. God I plead with you to send justice swiftly for these families and all of the black lives that are at risk right NOW of being the next victim of police brutality, racism and prejudice. We need you Lord. We need you to guide us and console us during this time.
Lord you say in your living word
“Do not be afraid. Do not lose hope because of this huge army. The battle is not yours“(2 Chronicles 20:15).
Father God today we stand together putting on the full armor or God. Because we also know as stated in Ephesians 6:11-12 that…
“we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.”
Lord, we stand as believers on this word and ask that you cover us all in the blood of Jesus and the full protection and armor of your Holy Spirit.
Thank you Lord for hearing this prayer. Thank you Lord for your protection. We claim the victory over evil, in your name God. May your love speak louder than any and all hateful talk, rhetoric, thoughts and actions. In the name of the Father, the Son and the HOLY SPIRIT, AMEN!
